Shore Buddies Wisdom Wednesday
Salt content in water can differ within the same body of water. It is less salty where fresh water runoff mixes into the ocean or sea, typically from a river or melting glacier. It’s even possible to find rivers and lakes beneath the ocean. When salt water and hydrogen sulphide combine, it becomes denser than the rest of the water around it, creating a lake or river that flows beneath the sea.
