Shore Buddies Wisdom Wednesday

Green turtles live the majority of their lives in the ocean. Female green turtles typically only come on land when it is time to lay their eggs. After they hatch, male green turtles may NEVER return to land. Green turtles are an endangered species, mostly due to their nesting grounds being unsafe. Development, hunting, and accidental netting have resulted in only one or two, out of a thousand green sea turtles reaching adulthood. These unfavorable odds can be shifted by our daily actions and decisions!
